Why is the Wellbeing Cities Forum important?
Did you know that more than half of the global population currently live in cities? In 30 years from now, predictions are that 70 percent of the world’s citizens will live in urban areas. Cities need to face these facts and have an active role in the continuous improvements of inhabitants’ wellbeing if we don’t want to be confronted to crisis in housing, health, mobility and so on.
We aim to encourage and highlight global initiatives to give rise to the wellbeing movement bringing together all urban players (public, private and non-profit sectors).
This 2-day global event brings together and rewards cities shaping urban wellbeing. A community of 300 international contributors will meet in Montréal, QC, to:
- celebrate the laureates of the Wellbeing Cities Award
- showcase, discuss, and debate existing solutions to extend wellbeing in cities everywhere.
