It has more than 200MWs of operating and committed solar assets across 23 states in India
Azure Power, one of India’s leading independent solar power producers, has won 11.2MW and 600KW rooftop solar power projects in bids conducted by energy management company, Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam (MPUVNL), and Indraprastha Power Generation Company (IPGCL), respectively.
Azure will provide power for 25 years to various Government establishments in Madhya Pradesh and Delhi, which will be spread across some 600 project sites. The company qualifies for a capital incentive for both the MPUVNL and IPGCL projects.
World Bank is the technical partner for the bid tendered by MPUVNL and it will provide pre-identified project sites with technical due diligence. Azure Power’s win of 11.2MW is the largest allocation in the bid, which includes approximately 90 per cent of the total project sites allocated and covers government buildings such as colleges, polytechnics, industrial training institutes and police establishments.
Azure Roof Power offers rooftop solar power solutions for commercial, industrial, government, and institutional customers in cities across India to lower their energy bill and meet their greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction targets.
