Dell Gateways can be used out-of-the-box and remotely configured for use in locally autonomous multi-layered IoT solutions
Cumulocity has signed up to Dell’s expanding IoT solutions partner programme with the aim of simplifying and securing autonomous Internet of Solutions (IoT) deployments.
Cumulocity has been collaborating with Dell since last year and the new agreement means that Dell Edge Gateways can now integrate with the Cumulocity IoT platform out-of-the-box.
According to the IoT device management and application enablement platform provider, the IoT requires the collaboration of an ecosystem of partners to best serve end customers’ unique needs in a way that focuses on business benefits and minimises risks.
“Our experience has shown that there is an increasing demand for the processing capabilities of IoT to be distributed across a range of heterogeneous platforms and devices,” said Bernd Gross, CEO, Cumulocity.
“Dell has taken the lead in crystallizing autonomous high-performance edge infrastructure. Our membership in the Dell IoT partner program allows our partners and customers to benefit from one of the world’s most honoured IoT ecosystems.”
Cumulocity’s IoT platform is open, publicly documented and standards based, which allows customers to innovate full end-to-end solutions rapidly and avoid the risks of both digital disruption and technological dead ends.
This collaboration allows the Dell Gateways to be used out-of-the-box and remotely configured for use in locally autonomous multi-layered IoT solutions, as required by most manufacturing and process related industries.
Dell’s IoT solution partner is a curated programme of technology providers that address all parts of the solution landscape and complement Dell’s portfolio of enabling IoT infrastructure.
The programme was named IoT Partner Ecosystem of the Year by IoT Breakthrough Awards.
Cumulocity is exhibiting at Embedded World at Nuremberg in Germany, which runs until 16 March.
