Professional services company Accenture in Chicago is providing its clients with a dedicated area to explore the capabilities of digital and help them accelerate innovation in areas such as the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI) and voice interaction.

Located in the newly developed West Loop, the 70,000-square-foot Hub combines capabilities across the company’s digital business – including Accenture Interactive, Accenture Mobility and Accenture Analytics – to invent, develop and deliver disruptive innovations for clients.

“The new Accenture Digital Hub expands our commitment to Chicago, particularly in advancing the city’s leadership in technology,” said Jim Coleman, senior managing director who leads Accenture’s business in Chicago. “We have an ongoing imperative to drive innovation on behalf of our clients in Chicago and beyond. With this Hub, we will continue helping them invent their futures.”

Working with Accenture teams, client companies can access a range of leading-edge digital technologies and collaboration tools, including:

  • A design studio by Fjord, the design and innovation unit of Accenture Interactive, where they can apply design thinking methodologies and rapid prototyping to create engaging digital services.
  • The Accenture Connected Anaytics Experience, an immersive and collaborative analytics environment to make data more accessible and engaging, enabling clients to reach faster, insight-driven decisions to influence business outcomes.
  • Digitally enabled and fully configurable collaboration and work spaces that feature visual collaboration solutions such as a Microsoft Surface Hub to link locations, teams, content and devices in a connected, shared workspace.

“We’re excited to expand our digital footprint and contribute to Chicago’s fast-growing tech economy,” said Jay Dettling, managing director at Accenture Interactive. “From designing new digital experiences at the Fjord studio to co-creating marketing, content, commerce, analytics and mobility solutions, the Hub will enable us to collaborate with our clients in a totally new way to drive greater innovation and business outcomes.”

Accenture, which employs more than 5,500 people across Chicago, is an active contributor to many of the city’s digital initiatives including Chicago Smart Cities, 1871, the City Digital consortium, Matter and Blue 1647. Focused on helping to grow the city’s digital talent base, Accenture also runs skills-development programmes with Girls Who Code and Wright College, the technology and innovation focused college within the City Colleges of Chicago.
