Migo transport app launches in DC

The company is regularly adding or testing new services such as bike-share and public transit

Washington DC users can stay in one app to find the best transportation option for them
Washington DC users can stay in one app to find the best transportation option for them

Migo, the search app for on-demand rides, has rolled out its free new service in Washington, DC after successful launches in Seattle and Portland.

Migo is the first app available in the US that allows users to search, compare and hail multiple types of personal transportation, such as Lyft, Car2Go, Yellow Cab, Limebike and more, without having to jump from one app to another.

The Migo app displays real-time data for price estimates and wait/walk time and makes it possible to search, hail and book a ride, all from within the Migo app. In-app payment is available for many partners today and will be expanded in the future.

Migo launched first in Seattle and Portland on the iPhone and is expanding quickly to additional markets, like DC, and to Android. In addition to expanding to additional markets the Migo team has been regularly adding or testing new services, like bike-share and public transit.

"Our customers are telling us they’ve been waiting for a service like Migo. They’re tired of jumping from one app to another to discover their best transportation option," said Jeff Warren, founder and CEO of Migo.

"And with the congestion and traffic challenges in Washington, DC, we’re thrilled to be able to offer the growing population of the greater DC area a smart solution that allows them to first discover and then easily choose the best (cheapest, fastest, coolest) way to get from A to B."
