Atom has made a white label solution of its e-scooter ride-sharing platform available for integration by cities.

The platform was initially launched in the Latvian capital of Riga and it claims everyone with a fleet can get the app and and platform up and running in 20 days without major investment in an IT solution.

Customisation of platforms

The platform is designed to help operators launch programmes much faster and enable them to capture market share. The company has already started to work with several clients to develop personalised ride-sharing platforms and the biggest interest is from the Middle East and Europe, where the ATOM team is helping to customise the platform in accordance with local regulations.

Arturs Burnins, Atom CEO, said the platform has evolved according to customer needs and market requirements since its launch in Riga earlier this year.

The solution includes a branded mobile app for riders – already operational on iOS and Android – and a dashboard to manage vehicles, rides and to view metrics.

The app has a built-in "get a free ride" referral program that is optional and can be switched off. Several user registration options are available with identity card, driver’s licence or other documents required upon registration. A number of payment options are available including a wallet, pay-per-ride and subscription.

"We are currently working on a project to develop an e-scooter sharing platform where all charging stations are going to be visible”

The ATOM team will help to set up the most appropriate payment model for the market, as well as user preferences.

“For example, we are currently working on a project to develop an e-scooter sharing platform where all charging stations are going to be visible,” said Burnins. “When the e-scooter is taken there and connected to the charger, it is not possible to collect it until its battery has been charged to a particular level.

“This project is specific because we are also setting up different speed zones within the same city.”.

Together with the partner, ATOM provides a telematic solution, making it possible to control speed, distance, lights and even turn on/off the engine remotely. The platform owner can see the vehicle’s exact locations and its ride history on the dashboard. There is also an integrated wheel block solution to safeguard against theft or the illegal movement of the vehicle.
