The city council has bought 20 new hydrogen double-decker buses as part of its Clean Air Hydrogen Bus Pilot to kick-start the hydrogen market as a viable zero-emission fuel.
Green tech start-up Trojan Energy is installing 200 of its chargers across Brent and Camden as part of the Subsurface Technology for Electric Pathways project.
The schemes include pop-up cycle lanes, pavement widening and road closures to create low traffic neighbourhoods, which are all part of a package of active travel measures.
Goals behind the transport plan include connecting citizens with new job and training opportunities, prioritising people over cars and revitalising the city centre and local areas.
