Open Energy will provide a search engine to make it easy to find published energy data, and an access control service, which will automate the legal and security checks needed to share commercial data.
Open Energy’s goal is to make energy data sharing radically easier, giving users access to energy data held by thousands of organisations and institutions across the UK.
Investment will be delivered over the next two years and will see installation of 1,800 new ultra-rapid charging points at motorway service areas with a further 1,750 charge points in towns and cities.
Partnership is part of the mayor’s wider Energy for Londoners programme, which aims to make London’s homes warm, healthy and affordable and to supply more local clean energy.
