A partnership between Luna and JumpWatts aims to provide a solution to the escalating global problem of e-scooters being in the wrong location relative to user demand.
Tier’s fleet of 30 scooters will be equipped with computer vision technology to increase safety and allow researchers to explore a new source of smart city data.
It will operate on Dublin City University campuses and aims to improve e-scooter safety and explore smart city use cases for computer vision-equipped micro-mobility vehicles.
The scooters are fitted with world-first centimetre-level positioning technology and artificial intelligence cameras, to help solve the dual issues of dangerous parking and illegal footpath riding.
Proptech company ZiggyTec will work with the city on the first phase of Smart Dublin’s ring buoy monitoring project to reduce theft and help to save lives.
