The Port of Tyne in the north-east of England has been assessing current and future energy requirements in line with Tyne 2050’s roadmaps for it to become carbon neutral by 2030, and all-electric by 2040.
It will form a critical component of the Climate Ready Boston initiative, which aims to develop resilient solutions to prepare the city for the effects of climate change.
Green infrastructure, living shorelines and resilient design are among the recommendations announced by the city to insure against the impact of climate change and encourage smart growth.
