The M Scooter Pro is customisable with optional add-on accessories such as phone-mounts, baskets and smart features
Micro transportation device designer and manufacturer, Acton, has announced it is introducing its first commercial transportation e-scooter.
The M Scooter Pro marks the company’s first foray into the commercial transportation market and Acton claims it is the “first and only” company to offer scooters that are specifically designed for fleet.
Acton said the new customisable fleet-ready scooter is built to last longer, helping increase profitability for scooter companies, convenience for cities, corporations and campuses and improve the safety and experience for riders.
“Our team has highly specialised experience in the field of micro-transportation as we were one of the ‘first [mile] last mile’-specific manufacturers. We have excelled at creating smart, technologically advanced mobility devices for many years, starting back when no one even knew what micro-transportation was,” said Peter Treadway, CTO and co-founder, Acton.
“With the recent surge of scooter-sharing programmes, we noticed a gap in the market for a dependable, long-lasting, sustainable scooter. It’s built like a vehicle, not a toy, to withstand the everyday wear and tear of commercial use, meantime, offering a smoother and better riding experience for riders.”

The M Scooter Pro is the first line of fleet-ready scooters that are customisable with optional add-on accessories, including phone mounts, baskets, cupholders and smart features. The vehicle seamlessly plugs into existing network infrastructures with features including a smart lock and integrated Internet of Things (IoT) box with geofencing capabilities that allow companies to control the locations in which the scooter can be parked.
Acton is now accepting orders for the M Scooter Pro, which will begin shipping in the first quarter of 2019.
Founded in 2013, Acton is one of the earliest pioneers in this field and its products include electric skateboards, skates and scooters.
