The company is inviting customers to nominate their town for pothole repairs at pavingforpizza.com
Domino’s Pizza has introduced a campaign to help repair cracks, bumps, potholes and other conditions affecting roads and is asking customers to nominate their town for a grant.
The global pizza chain franchise has already worked alongside four US municipalities to help pay to repair roads including Bartonville, Texas; Milford, Delaware; Athens, Georgia; and Burbank, California.
Domino said customers interested in nominating their town for a paving grant can enter the zip code at its pavingforpizza.com website. If their town is selected, the customer will be notified, and the city will receive funds to assist with road repairs.
“I think this is a unique opportunity from the private sector in terms of assisting local municipalities and helping repair potholes,” said Mark Whitfield, director of public works, Milford, on the television station, NBC10.
Domino’s claims 60 per cent of sales are generated via digital channels and has produced several innovative ordering platforms, including Google Home, Facebook Messenger, Apple Watch, Amazon Echo, Twitter and text.
In late 2017, as part of an industry-first collaboration with Ford Motor Company, Domino’s began testing delivery of pizzas using self-driving vehicles.
