In response to this intensified urban landscape, Rotterdam is pioneering the creation of an urban digital twin ecosystem – a space where technology, data and applications come together to solve real problems.
In this webinar, the Municipality shares its knowledge and experience in creating this ecosystem, along with IMAGEM and Hexagon, which will share application examples like automated BIM-to-digital twin conversion, simplifying complexity for end users. Uwe is a renowned leader in the geospatial industry. Since joining Hexagon in 2007, he has been instrumental in advancing the company’s global business development initiatives, particularly within the government, transportation and defence sectors. His expertise lies in pioneering advanced geospatial solutions, integrating GIS and AI/ML into enterprise systems.
Before his tenure at Hexagon, he founded GIStec GmbH in Germany, a successful spinoff from Fraunhofer-IGD, where he led the GIS department. He holds a Ph.D. from the Technical University of Darmstadt. Throughout his career, Uwe has authored numerous articles and led seminars, workshops and university classes. |
