Countdown to SmartCitiesWorld Summit 2026

The countdown is on for the SmartCitiesWorld Summit 2026, the flagship official London Climate Action Week event for cities, taking place in-person in London and virtually from 22-26 June.

Building on the achievements of our previous three Cities Climate Action Summits, the event will be the biggest yet, convening more than 90 speakers and 3,000-plus delegates, representing over 1,000 cities and local authorities worldwide.

A packed agenda brings together a wide range of international, high-profile speakers (see below), including mayors and city leaders from Buenos Aires, Cardiff, Glasgow, Kanji, London, Manchester, Miami and Salt Lake City, alongside global senior leaders from the public and private sectors and industry experts.

Across the five days, we’ll be bringing you a mixture of panel discussions, fireside chats, keynotes and presentations, delivered virtually and in-person at London’s iconic County Hall on the South Bank of the River Thames on 24 June.

Evolution of the Summit

The change of name and expanded focus this year reflects the need for cities to confront the combined pressures of climate change, infrastructure resilience and digital transformation.

What hasn’t changed, though, is the emphasis on bringing city leaders, policymakers, infrastructure experts and technology partners together to explore how cities can translate strategy into action. We want every delegate to go away with insight into approaches, policies, solutions and more to translate their ideas and ambitions into practice.

Discussion will revolve around the below three themes with the full agenda available on our dedicated Summit website:

• Climate action: delivering city-scale pathways to net zero across energy, mobility, and the built environment.
• Urban resilience: how cities can strengthen infrastructure and services to withstand a range of shocks, stresses and disruptions.
• Smart city innovation: adopting and scaling digital technologies that fill resource gaps and improve services, efficiency and resident outcomes.
