Barcelona Panel Discussion: Next-generation smart lighting – powering the connected, sustainable city - 5 November 2025

Next-generation smart lighting – powering the connected, sustainable city

As cities seek to build more efficient, resilient, and human-centred environments, lighting networks are emerging as essential digital infrastructure. This panel, hosted by SmartCitiesWorld and Paradox Engineering, will explore how next-generation smart lighting is evolving from an energy-saving measure into a multifunctional platform that underpins data-driven urban management.

Featuring insights from leading city practitioners and technology experts, the discussion will examine the technologies, strategies, and partnerships driving this transformation.

Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how the next generation of smart lighting supports citywide digital transformation. They will learn how cities can leverage existing infrastructure to deliver greater sustainability, operational efficiency, and community benefits – while preparing for an increasingly connected urban future.
