The QBE AcceliCITY Resilience Challenge, organised by non-profit Leading Cities, this week announced the top 100 smart city solutions that will advance to the next stage of the competition. The selected solutions, chosen from submissions from 740 entrepreneurs across 70 countries, address a wide array of real-world challenges faced by communities globally.

The winners of the Smart City Track will receive up to $150,000 in prize money to fund pilot projects in cities, along with publicity, mentoring, and access to exclusive online courses. 2. Charlotte accelerates tech industry

Meanwhile, the City of Charlotte is taking proactive steps to bolster its tech industry by partnering with venture capital firm and accelerator gener8tor. The gALPHA and gBETA Charlotte accelerator programmes, the first of their kind in the city, will focus on early-stage tech-enabled startups.
