Openness represents the next key phase for smart cities. An open architecture, platform and culture support faster, more-informed decisions, significant cost-savings and greater agility and autonomy for what the future may bring.
We’ll cover data monetisation, interoperability, utilities, lighting, smart urban networks and even blockchain. We’ll be using Ticino Canton Area in Switzerland as our case study.
Roundtable Discussion (12pm-1.30pm): Smart cities: Where’s the ROI?

This roundtable looks at how cities can put in place the technology infrastructure, leadership and processes to deliver on the three pillars of smart city success.
We’ll focus on the City of London, alongside Paris and Guangzhou in China and what these cities have achieved so far, how they defined challenges/mapped solutions and how they track success.
