Mobile ticketing arrives in Rome

The Italian capital’s tour bus operator is rolling out the Justride ticketing platform which removes the need for tourists to visit a travel shop to buy their ticket.

Italian tour bus operator Prestige is launching the Justride mobile ticketing platform from Masabi in Rome, enabling tourists to buy a ticket on their smartphone. The bus operator’s brands include EnjoyBus and the iconic GreenLine Tours.

 

The app is currently available in English but will soon also be launched in Italian, French, Spanish and Japanese.

 

End-to-end mobile ticketing

 

The end-to-end platform is designed to make catching a bus and discovering Rome’s art, architecture and history a more hassle-free and convenient experience on the hop-on, hop-off bus service.

 

The app includes the full range of fares including; one run, daily, 24 hours, 48 hours and 72 hours passes, for both adults and children and also removes the need to visit a travel shop to purchase a ticket.

 

The new service also incorporates the Justride Inspect app for ticket checking onboard and the Justride Hub, a secure cloud-based back office providing real-time data, reporting and analytics, as well as customer service tools.

The Justride Mobility Platform is the most widely deployed end-to-end mobile and account-based ticketing solution in operation, serving customers of all sizes, from the largest agency in the USA to the smallest bus operators.

 

Agencies can sign up to mobile ticketing services, enable mobility-as-a-service (MaaS), or deploy an account-based full fare collection solution using a contactless bank card, mobile device or smartcard.
