Date recorded: Wednesday 18 June 2025
Length: 60 minutes + Q&A
Cities are increasingly leading the charge on climate action - and around the world, inspired by London’s unique model, many are organising their own Climate Action Weeks to mobilise communities, accelerate policy, and spark collaboration.
This webinar brings together representatives from Baku, Rio de Janeiro, Bangkok and Prague to discuss how they are working with London to create Climate Action Weeks to drive local action - while contributing to a growing global movement.
This timely session took place in the build up to London Climate Action Week (21–29 June 2025), which was founded in 2019 and has grown into the world’s most influential whole-of-society climate change festival. The event convenes local and international voices to accelerate action across policy, business, finance, and civil society.
You’ll gain insights from pioneering cities that are creating their own Climate Action Weeks, leveraging their partnership with London, and discover how your organisation or city can join this growing network of local climate leaders.
This event is hosted by SmartCitiesWorld, a trusted media and events platform focused on solving urban challenges, in partnership with London Climate Action Week. Through its Cities Climate Action Campaign, launched in 2022, SmartCitiesWorld has been amplifying the power of city-led climate initiatives via research, journalism, and events. In 2024, its Cities Climate Action Summit became a flagship feature of LCAW.
Now, in partnership with London Climate Action Week, SmartCitiesWorld is calling on more cities, subnational governments, and partners to launch their own Climate Action Weeks.
